Oh my we've been having the most amazing weather while I've been typing away on my last essays and today certainly topped them all. Ok so today can be debated, since it's +38C and very humid. Anyway here's what my day looked like.
With a smile on my face I headed to uni to print out my last essay!
I felt relieved after having handed in my essay at the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies office.
Now I can look straight ahead and have all the time in the world to do and see whatever I want to.
I figured a trip to the city would be nice, but I soon changed my mind as it was insanely hot.
I steered my way towards the Royal Botanic Garden to cool down in the jungle-like shade.
Getting away from all the stress and rewind was the perfect cure after a long term.
I wish...that my remaining stay in Sydney will be joyful and filled with adventures. :)
After having looked at the beautiful blossoming flower I sat down by this cool hollow rock.
The best thing I know are raspberries. Bought an entire box to treat myself!
Sitting there comfortably under the shade by the rock, I began planning my remaining week.
Then it reached +38C and I decided it was for the best to head home. I wasn't the only one who thought it got a bit too hot, this poor little fellow was almost hyperventilating. He "waved" me goodbye and I was thrilled when I found myself on my way home in an air-conditioned train. ♥

Burrito & Cake
I did mean to post this during the weekend, but I've been busy as a bee trying to finish all of my essays as soon as possible. I managed to finish most of them by today, only got 1 left now. Pweh! Can't wait to have it over with and enjoy the rest of my stay here.
This Sunday we had a Birthday party for Lillian where we served snacks with guacamole.
The main course was Mexican burrito with fresh sallad and delicious prawns.
Lillian used to live here as a homestay student and brought some of her friends with her.
Freya was eager to give Shou more chilli and I think it got a bit too hot for him. *giggles*
We finished off the delicious dinner with an even more delicious Pavlova cake. Was my first time to try a Pavlova. It's definitely not something you eat everyday, as all it pretty much consists of is tons of sugar and egg white. But, I'll be sure to try make it on my own some day. Yum!

Water amongst the writing
I haven't been very active on this blog since I'm in the midst of writing my last essays.
Today I went by the blooming Jacaranda tree to hand in my 2nd essay...2 more left to do.
Since I've pretty much spent most of my week inside I decided to enjoy the rest of the day in DH.
I always cherish those moment when you find new fascinating things you've never seen before.
All these lovely water fountains take up a great part of Darling Harbour, even the playground area.
I got to recharge my batteries again and hopefully I'll be filled with inspiration.
Bought a few things as well that I will show you tomorrow. Actually, I might even show you guys my favourite purchase I did this month, I just love it to pieces. In addition to that, I'll probably do a post on what I did on Halloween for those of you who still haven't seen my photos.
Until next time, take care and...you better start preparing for my arrival back home! (17 days left!)

A day with Annie
What an amazing weather we are having these past two days, I really hope that it stays put. With all the sunshine and warm weather it was quite naturally that I ventured outside to enjoy the day.
Around lunch time I went to David Jones to be pampered by a make-up artist in gold and green.
I met up with Annie to spend the day having lots of fun, since her Birthday was coming up.
We had a look around the QVB and Annie got some adorable rings. I have the same ones. :)
People took advantage of the weather and some couples were lucky to have this as their day...
Annie and me decided to change the setting from high-rised skyscrapers to China Town.
As we were hungry, a stop at a Taiwanese restaurant was necessary. I had a steamed veg bun.
While Annie had a soy bean jelly with red-beans. It tasted better than what it looks like.
We also shared a Leek Cake, which was just delicious.
Afterwards we headed to Paddy's Market to find some bargains.
Once we had eased our hearts with shopping we took the bus to Circular Quay.
Radiance of the Sea, a massive cruise ship, took up half of the harbour and was very impressive.
Since we still had plenty of time before heading off to the restaurant that was booked...
...we sat down to enjoy the warmth of the sun and the fresh sea breeze. Life was good.
A 6 รณ clock we joined a company of Annie's friends and went to Appetito.
We ordered 3 different pizzas and some amazing Ciabatta with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Combining great food and interesting conversation about the present and the future was a great way to end a beautiful evening with wonderful company.

Sydney Food Festival
After a long week of studying I felt I deserved to give myself a treat and I was just eager to get out to get some photos. Together with Annie and the Chopstick Society, we headed to the Night Noodle Markets during the Sydney Food Festival.
Hide Park was beautifully decorated and the entire area was filled with people.
After having looked around in the stall, I decided to have Malaysian noodles with egg & vegetables.
I shared a not so very authentic Burek. My mum's is 100 times better.
However, the Gozleme was pretty good. Good thing to cook when out of time.
The entire group had all kinds of yummy food. Ranging from dumplings to mini-pancakes.
We realised that we made a wise choice by sitting under a tree as the rain came down like crazy.
Annie and me had a nice chat about what we would do the next day.

Once everybody had finished we went to the Sheraton hotel nearby.
We were greeted by plenty of happy faces and we pretty much took up the entire hotel. Hah!
What better way to end this fabulous evening than to devour a heavenly delicious mouth-watering chocolate dessert that just melted in your mouth...I just about died with every single bite I took.
